The rest of the family was home sick with the flu. So it turned out to be a 'Daddy Daughter' Day! (With the Girl Scout Troop too)

Beach Time!!

We had a mini vacation at the beach before school started on Monday the 17th. We went up on Friday the 21st and came home on Sunday the 16th. We love to go to the beach at Port Hueneme because it is very clean, quiet and is pretty much unknown by many. Mike spent 5 of his teenage years living in Port Hueneme. So when time permits, we come to the beach at Port Hueneme!

Scout Camp Troop 308

The Hemet 3rd Wards Scouting program has been lagging for a long time. When Mike was called as the Scout Master, he made a lot of possitive changes. They are starting to come to scouts on Tuesday nights and now they are at a campout that has helped them make a lot of sign offs(badges) and helped them to enjoy scouts again. Mike went up with the boys on Sunday, right after Sacrament and stayed the day. He wasn't able to stay the week. On Friday night he went up and came home Saturday with the boys he took up.

Vacation on the Fourth of July weekend

We decided to spend the Fourth of July away from home, sort of. We had a great time at Sea World. We haven't been in years. Erin has never been and Kimberlyn hasn't been with us. She did go last year with her Girl Scout troop. We went for two days. Sea World didn't close until 11pm. We arrived at about 6pm the first day and the second we went home about 7pm. Everyone was getting tired and a little sunburned. This is also an updated family picture as well. As you can see Mike and I are looking as young as ever!! Jessica is almost as tall as us. She is 13 yrs. So she is still growing. Kimberlyn is 8, and she is fun to do things with now that she is getting order. Erin is 3 1/2 and is almost as tall as Kimberlyn. She is also my little trouble maker in disquise. A typical 3 year old. But very loving a the same time. Fun, Fun, Fun.

Baptism

Kimberlyn's was baptized in Hemet at our Stake Center at about 6:30 in the evening. The picture in white by herself was taken by herself. I thought it was pretty cute. The picture by herself was taken for her pre-baptism picture and information about herself and her testimony was in the program on individual papers. In the whole stake there where 5 children baptized that night. Mike and Kimberlyn's picture before the baptism. Grandpa and Grandma Meredith came. We also had our home teacher come...Bro. Bob Groves and his wife. Kimberlyn's friend Zoye came she is going to get baptized next month.

Quarterly Primary Activity

They were all going on a mission. They were dropped off at the chapel for goodbyes. But before we were able to take a picture pretending to point where they might be going. They had a great time learning about different countries and states where missionaries went to.

Jessica's 13th Birthday

Jessica is officially a teenager! She tried to make 13 with her hands but the picture made it look like 31. School is almost over and she will be in her last year of middle school. She is growing up to fast! She almost blew out all thirteen candles. Happy Birthday Jess!

Inquiry Fair Projects

The kids are required to do a project every year. It is a major part of there grade at the end of the year. We are able to see the projects at the kids Open House along with everyone else's in their classes. Jessica, being in Middle School grade, I wasn't able to see any of what she did because they do most of it at school. She did hers on two different types of birds. One from the Tundra (Snowy Owl)and one from the Rainforest(Replentant Qustzel). She compared and contrast and wanted to learn about the different types of birds. She also had to talk about her display for the 2 hours at the open house for part of grade.

Kimberlyn choose to do the Roadrunner. She had to pick an animal that lived in the desert of California. They had to write a report and make a 3 dimensional of there project environment.

Kimberlyn can finally go across the bars without falling, yeah!....Erin is pretending to be selling something???......Kimberlyn and Erin pretending to be in jail...Ehhh!.....Erin is growling, she is pretending to be a lion!

Kimberlyn's 8th Birthday Party

Jessica is having a great time on her own and helps out with Erin....Erin found a game that she enjoys a lot!....Kimberlyn's friends from Girl Scouts, Aubrey looking at camera and Michelle playing game together....Zoye long hair(Blonde), she is her friend from church....Kimberlyn or Kimmie as Maggie calls her, is her best friend from school. A Day at Legoland!

Everyone had a great time at Legoland. Here are a few photos of the day. Summer in the Sun
